In campsite, 2 shared bathrooms are available for max 8 people. One bathroom is western styled and another Indian styled. Both are equipped with geysers and shower. Buckets and mugs will also be provided.

To enter and travel within Arunachal Pradesh, Indian citizens require an Inner Line Permit (ILP). A foreigner requires a Protected Area Permit (PAP). And, it is very easy if you are getting it online.
• In order to get the permit online, you just need to visit the official website https://eilp.arunachal.gov.in/. You will see "Tourist eILP". Once you land on that page, you will see the simple steps to apply for the ILP. You would require any one of the identity documents out as a passport, voter's ID, driving license, or PAN card. Aadhar card would also work.
• In addition, you would require a passport-size photo. You need to upload the soft copy. Now, the passport-size photo doesn't need to be a professional one. A clear selfie with a whitish background will do. I would recommend uploading an identity document that contains your address proof. If you are traveling in a group, only one ID is required, but you would require photos of all the traveling members.
• In the application form, there is one field that confuse you. It asks for a local reference. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be a local who resides in Arunachal Pradesh. Any reference would do, even your friend's.
• Now while applying for the permit, you will have to enter the districts that you intend to visit. In case your application gets rejected, you can instantly apply for another one. Also, you get to know the reason of rejection so it can be solved pretty easily.

Meghalaya is an all-weather destination. However, you can visit summer (April to June), autumn (October to November) and in winter time i.e. from October to April, when the weather remains cool and sunny, perfect for outdoor activities. Where you will get snow in Tawang from mid December to February.

The West Kameng district tourism office has adopted Shergaon as Model Village to promote rural and eco-tourism in the district.
• Shergaon has 149 varieties of bird species.
• Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary is just next to Shergaon.
• Apple, Kiwi and different berry orchards are famous in Shergaon.
• One can find more than 17 varieties of apples. Golden apple, Red Delicious and Maharaji are some of the popular varieties.
• Walnut, plum, chestnut, peach, cherry, pear, pomegranate, kiwi etc. are grown abundantly.
• Shergaon is the village of the Sherdukpen community, an ethnic group related to both the Aka and Monpa.
• Sherdukpen community has a total population of 4,200.
• Shergaon has around 100 houses.

Shergaon is not far from the plains and connectivity is very good here. This is why it can be developed as a Workation destination.

Meet local Sherdukpen people, this tribe is surely worth a mention here. They are primarily found in Shergaon so even their name is derived from Sher (from the village of Shergaon) and Tukpen (old name of the village of Rupa). They live in mountains and co-exist well with neighboring tribes of Monpas and Brokpas. If you visit Shergaon during a festival you can see them all dressed up in their local tribal attire and that can be feast for sore eyes. Shergaon Rhododendron festival takes place in Spring around mid-March when the flowers are in full bloom.
